Wei auch immer, einer der Kriegshelden versuchte dem Mann die Genitalien wegzuschießen, was Allah sei Dank gescheitert ist. Der Mann wurde nur leicht verletzt. Weniger Spaß hatten in den letzten beiden Tagen 27 Palästinenser, darunter viele Zivilisten die von marodierenden IDF-Milizionären gefangen genommen wurden. In Qabatia versucht die IDf einen Anführer des Islamic-Jihad zu verhaften was fehlschlägt und den Islamic Jihad zwingt von einer versuchten extralegalen Tötung zu sprechen. In Jenin wird neben dem üblichen looten einem Palästinenser ein Bauchschuß zugefügt. In Anata wird Jeff Halper, Mitbegründer von ICAHD [Israeli Committee Against House Demolitions] wegen versuchter Verhinderung einer Hauszerstörung, die im Sicherheits der israelischen Siedlungserweiterungen dient verhaftet. Ein Aufruf den man mittragen kann: The family of a baby girl from Tulkarem are appealing for donations to help them pay for medical treatment for their daughter 10-month-old daughter who has spent all of her short life in Az-Zakah hospital in Tulkarem. Majidah is suffering from a rare disease called pneumonitis and needs an artifical respirator to keep her alive. The family want to raise money to buy a respirator so Majidah can be brought home. Dr Ahmad At-Tahir, the director of the children's department at the hospital explained that Majidah's case is a rare one called Nemaline Rod Myopathy which completely paralyzes all the muscles of the body. Starker Kontrast: Some 1,000 people attended a memorial service at the Mercaz Harav rabbinical seminary Thursday, marking the one-month anniversary of the murderous attack which claimed the lives of eight young men. The Israeli NGO Peace Now has a settlement watch project which just released a new report looking at 4 months of settlement expansion since the Annapolis conference, the headline finding of which was that at least 1,900 new settlement homes would be built in 2008—a record number for the last 10 years. The first thing to say about the piece is that it is almost certainly accurate and not something that can be easily dismissed.
