Aktion Verenkotte - Bericht

Mittlerweile liegt der offizielle Bericht über die heutige "Aktion Verenkotte" vor.
Zwar hat sich Herr Verenkotte auf meine Intervention mit dem Fall beschäftigt, jedoch wurden keine Maßnahmen zur Richtigstellung des Berichts ergriffen.

Clemens Verkenkotte hat vollständig richtig geantwortet das er korrekt aus einem in Israel verbreiteten Papier zitiert: "Israelische Menschenrechtsorganisationen verurteilten in einer gestern veröffentlichen Erklärung die Vorgehensweise der Regierung Olmert im Gaza-Streifen als "klares und unzweideutiges Verbrechen gegen die Menschlichkeit." John Dugard, der UN-Sonderberichterstatter für die palästinensischen Gebiete, wurde in dem Schreiben mit den Worten zitiert, die Tötung von mehr als 40 Zivilisten in der vergangenen Woche verstoße gegen das Verbot der kollektiven Bestrafung gemäß der Genfer Konvention."

Im Orginal: Prof. John Dugard, the UN Special Rapporteur for Human Rights in the Palestinian Territories, called the Israeli government's actions 'serious war crimes' for which its political and military officials should be prosecuted and punished. The killing of more than 40 civilians this past week violates, he said, 'the strict prohibition on collective punishment contained in the Fourth Geneva Convention. Die urspüngliche Presseerklärung von John Dugard: Press statement by the UN Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in the Palestinian territories occupied since 1967 - Geneva, 18 January 2008 - The killing of some forty Palestinians in Gaza in the past week, the targeting of a Government office near a wedding party venue with what must have been foreseen loss of life and injury to many civilians, and the closure of all crossings into Gaza raise very serious questions about Israel's respect for international law and its commitment to the peace process. Recent action violates the strict prohibition on collective punishment contained in the Fourth Geneva Convention. It also violates one of the basic principles of international humanitarian law that military action must distinguish between military targets and civilian targets. Israel must have known about the wedding party in Gaza near to the interior ministry when it launched missiles at the ministry building. Those responsible for such cowardly action are guilty of serious war crimes and should be prosecuted and punished for their crimes. The United States and other states which attended the Annapolis conference are under both a legal and a moral obligation to compel Israel to cease its actions against Gaza and to restore confidence in the peace process, ensure respect for international law and protect civilian life.

Nun, zum Einen ist die Fälschung der Dugard-Aussagen offensichtlich. Zum anderen ergibt sich nun die Frage in wie fern man erwarten kann das ein Info-Massenmedium in Deutschland die offensichtliche Fälschung erkennt und unterbindet in dem sie die unlautere Quelle wegläßt und auf Dugards eigenen Text zurück greift. Ich unterstelle hier dem Herrn Verenkotte, dessen Berichte ich sehr oft höre und den ich wegen seiner soliden Berichte sehr schätze gar nichts. Ein Fehler, wie er natürlich nicht vorkommen sollte, aber eben vorkommt. Andererseits fehlt hier ganz offensichtlich in der Schaltung der Texte ein Korrektiv. Und [diese Spitze erlaube ich mir] ich arbeite nicht mit Milliarden Euro an Subventionen, sondern mit 0 € an Subventionen.
